Atm I'm using Google navigation and it's pretty good but I don't know how it would compare say to a premium one. I've heard that some of them even tell you which lane to get in and which exit to take at the roundabout, as opposed to just telling you "exit the roundabout" like Google navigation does.

That's fine for local journeys where I've heard of the places that the roundabout is saying, but for other places, where the hell do I exit lol

Well, I'm just wondering about the best app tbf. I'd probably want a trial one because I'll probably eventually get a proper sat nav that sticks to the window, or I suppose I could get one of them phone holder thingies

TL;DR - what sat nav app would you recommend? I don't mind looking at premium applications. I'm using an Android phone (ICS) btw

I've had CoPilot and Navigon in the past, for Windows though not Android.

    CoPilot was my favourite.

Either is as good as a standalone counterpart.

I'm using Google Nav at the moment but I don't drive in strange places as much as I used to.

Does Google Navigation do turn by turn, or avoid traffic jams? (while connected to 3g of course)
    Is it an app?
I tried the Google Maps route planning on an iPhone and is just showed the route in map and text info.
