I'm sorry you're having such a difficult time. My sister took 3 years to conceive and after tests they didn't seem to reveal anything. Interestingly, as soon as she sent the blood tests off for ivf she discovered she was pregnant. To me it seemed like as soon as she relaxed and let someone else help, then I think it took the weight off her mind. I don't know if this is the same for you and I don't want to trivialise it for you, but I know it became such a big thing for my sister. She even gave up working full time in order to reduce stress.
After she had her baby boy, she fell pregnant again 3 months later, so she now has 2 children under 2.
My grandmother took 4 years to conceive and then had four children.
It was so difficult for it not to be a big thing for her my sister.
I hope no-one thinks I'm speaking out of turn and I haven't experienced what you are going through, but I know it affected my sister more than anything and more than she would admit. I wish you all the best.MSE Forum's favourite nutter :T0 -

Yes, they (the NHS) do generally give ivf treatment to those with unexplained infertility. It does, however, depend on your local PCT. it's a bit of a postcode lottery - some areas give you the NICE recommended treatment of 3 attempts, but others don't even offer one. They also impose various conditions such as not being over/underweight, no previous children, etc.
You might want to browse/join a dedicated site that has ttc forums, such as babyandbump (don't be put off by the name).0 -

That's what happened to my sister, she was going for ivf after unexplained infertility.
I can imagine it's impossible to stop thinking about, I certainly think it took over my sisters life. My sister was extremely frustrated by the dr's and felt they were doing very little to help, she wanted an answer, I don't think she ever got an answer.MSE Forum's favourite nutter :T0 -
I've known lots of people with unexplained (and explained) fertility problems. My parents being one couple. They were trying for 5 years before they got pregnant with my brother, 3 months before they got pregnant with me and then 10 years before my youngest brother popped along. In almost every case I've heard of, the minute the couple in question are on the road to having something done (in my parents case adoption, with others, clomide, IVF etc) when they had unexplained fertility issues, they all found themselves pregnant before any intervention became necessary. To a person, they all said that once they knew that SOMETHING was being done to help them have a child, their stress levels dropped dramatically, and they're convinced being less stressed helped them conceive. Maybe worth trying some kind of acupuncture to see if you can lower your stress levels, if nothing else, you'll feel better.0

OP has your husband been looked at too for fertility tests? You are only one half of the equation so if you've been trying for that long maybe its time to get him checked out.We got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic.
