Hotel - One night in London for 4

Hey all,

I'm off to London on 6th October, with 3 other ladies, to see Mamma Mia. Rather than get the late night coach back as we've done before, we're looking for a cheap and cheerful hotel/b&b.

I usually use the 241 Holiday in when I visit London, but we're only staying one night. Any suggestions?

  • What about the Holiday Inn 35% off offer? For example Stratford of the dates I am looking at works out less per night with this offer than the 2 for 1.

    Holiday Inn 35% off link

The Holiday Inn beside watford Junction station is £53 for a room with two single beds for 6th October and the fast train from London Euston takes about 20 minutes. The site says the double bed room with a sofa bed is suitable for 4 persons (often the sofa bed is a double bed) or for more comfort it may be best to book two interconnecting rooms.

FYI, the closest they have to twin rooms is a family room, which consists of a double bed and a bed/settee - if there are only two adults staying, there is a 'using as twin' box to tick when booking to ensure that they leave bedding for the sofa bed as well.

If you want to stay really central (walking distance of the theatres), I've used this place before:

It definitely is cheap and cheerful, but brilliantly located and on a very quiet side street. They have a quad room for four (if two of you don't mind sharing a double) or even a room for five with a double and three singles in it. These two rooms are £42-45 per person if there's four of you.
