I am getting an android tablet shortly and would like to know what the reading of ebooks is like.
Please dont tell me to get a kindle as I do 90 percent of my reading at night. can you read the tablet in the shade?
What is the best app for an ereader?
thanks in advance

I have a Kindle and I read at night - you can get a little light that clips on. It's much easier to read, even at night, that a tablet. As I'm sure you know, reading a tablet in sunlight is difficult, Kindle is easy. And I'm sure you already know Kindle battery lasts for days rather than hours for a tablet.0 -
I guess you mean Android tablet?
If so, I like Moon+.
It's a personal choice though and there's lots of them available for free so just try a few and make your own mind up.
None of them are as good as a Kindle though because of the eInk technology.0 -
The new Nook's IIRC have a backlit e-Ink screen so you can read at night, may be worth alook. If you want an Android tablet, the Nexus7 is the best value by far at the moment, it is sold at just over component cost, but with £15 of credit which you can use for ebooks or apps or music or films etc. No end of free and paid reader software, try a load out, find one you like. I like fbreader which has libraries of public domain books, but it is far from unique.
Sunlight reading though really does warrant e-ink.0
