Both of which are full time at the same time. Oh yes then there is a start date which is not till the first day of your mystery illness at the 1st job

This is nothing to do with HMRC.

I'll come back to this thread if and when I get the job, but yeah my boss usually sends those home when they hand in their notice. I think in the past people messed about or did very little and held everyone else up.

I mentioned this as I know of a guy who I used to work with did this. But he claimed ssp for months when working elsewhere. He ended up in jail in the end for something unrelated.

No point in signing a self certificate unless it means you get paid for the period it covers or you claim SSP.

Fraud is giving false information and gaining a benefit as a result.
Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.

I do a week in hand. So say for instance I phone in sick Monday, I don't go back, the following Friday I get paid the week in hand phone in and say I won't be back, ive got all I'm owed, bridges well and truely burnt though.

and your company will still give you a reference?
  • Falko, unless your in need of a reference from the current employer, I wouldn't worry about it. I'd just walk and be done with it.

Go sick if you want as long as you don't sign anything to do with SSP / government money you'll be ok. If the company pay you sick pay out of their own money then thats pretty much their problem.

Good luck at the interview Falko, I hope you come back with positive news - you deserve something better!
