Courier who will ensure laptop computer

I have sold a laptop (notebook) computer on Ebay and was going to post by City Link through Parcel Monkey but at the end of entering all my details I realised laptops are excluded from compansation even if you pay for the cover. Can someone recommend a company to use please? Perhaps Parcel Force, their exclusions don't seem to exclude laptops unless they contain glass(!).

  • I meant 'insure' in the title.

I researched it myself and Parcel Force 24 was the best option. A reliable company (not using self-employed staff treated badly!), only £11.95 including collection from my house using a discount code I found, insurance for £200 and offsetting the CO2 emissions!
  • I recently sent a laptop via Collectplus (£4.99 service). They do not exclude laptops in their T&C's.

I know alot of people have had problems with Collectplus' service, however, I'm using them about twice a week and find it a fast, cheap and reliable service.

I did once have an item arrive damaged by them, but was quickly refunded after completing their claim form.
  • Seen tons of posts call them Parcel FARCE. And being a nightmare to deal with at times.

Same with collect plus. doesnt take lomg to find enough bad commects to keep you busy reading for hours.

A search will find tales of woe for all companies sending thousands of items a day, but some companies are worse than others. I wouldn't consider PF to be worse than average.
  • Forgot to mention.

That any posts that are not negative are from spammers. Must be an employee paid to post glowing remarks on variour websites. lol

And this does happen with bigger companies than you think.
