Yes an odd number total works - to an extent - but it's not the best deal because one of them will be full price. It's also risky because you don't know which one will be full price - some people did end up paying full price for a coke because they had an odd number total. They also didn't save anything by taking that risk, because they could've had an extra rice pudding or custard for nothing.

Sorry to argue, but in my shop it WAS the best deal! I've done this shop twice and both times it's been the same.

there's a good chance that you actually paid 9p for it :D I have a cupboard full of decent hair care products bought at 9p a pop and I still can't quite believe it :)

Thanks, now I feel stupid lol. Why did the ketchup fail? And the deodorant?
Just seen someone said the ketchup was from Tesco.

Ketchup is against T not W for cleaning.
Deo is also against T not W for cereal
W for clean and cereal sound so wrong:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

The ketchup failed because it only compares favourably at T's. You've got it in a shop which overall compares better elsewhere - basically you've mixed two different shops of glitching stuff together, which doesn't work.

I agree with Sarah7. You would have paid 94p for 1 ambrosia if you bought an odd number of coke/ambrosia. If you buy an even number of coke/ambrosia you would have paid 47p for the 1 ambrosia (or 94p for 2 ambrosia)
