He got the apprenteship..starts there on Tues :T:T

Well done SON, i bet you are so proud, i know i would be. When my DS was at school he was a complete and utter little git!! i would take him to school and before i got back home there would be a message to say he had done a runner again!!, he absolutely hated school and as a consequence didn't do very well.

He left school with no qualifications but luckily got taken on as an apprentice roofer - the boss liked that he had the gift of the gab and was not backwards in coming forwards - my son told him about school and how much he hated it, being treated as a child etc; etc; and he gave him a chance!!! That boss of his must have been an angel in disguise, my DS got apprentice of the year award from his workplace and also the college he had to attend one day a week, also gave him an award for the best achiever. Sadly a few years ago the company went down the pan due to the recession and my son was out of work for a good 6 months or so - in the end he got himself another job by going to a company and saying to them i will work for you FOC for a fortnight and if you like what i do then take me on, which is what they did!!! Sadly he didn't stay with them for too long as they took advantage of him, but he went on an agency and worked in the same place for three months and they have now taken him on full time. He passed his driving test last week and has bought himself a car - the rest of the family take the mick and call him mummies blue eyed boy, but i don't care i am so proud of him and what he has achieved. :):):)

    1 x Walkers French Fries Variety (6x19g) £1.48 £1.17

    Have I missed something here? The £1.16 + £1.17 + £1.17 = £3.50 which is the offer at T's so I don't see the glitch
Someone show me if I'm wrong
    Thanks

they are also 3 for £3.50 at Asda but the pricechecker compares at full price.

    Hi everyone

I have managed to catch up with about 70 pages
I only thought i could do that on my laptop, not my iPad, will try it now. Thank you x

The threads search button on an iphone is a little glitchy (aren't most things glitchy these days though:rotfl:). I start typing a search term and the box sometimes disappears. It usually takes a couple of attempts but I can search
    igloo wrote: »
you got the quantities correct , ie a multiple of 3 but you bought two items not sold by waitrose:-
    1 x Kellogg's Rice Krispies Squares Chocolate Caramel ...£1.98N/A
    1 x Kellogg's Rice Krispies Squares Totally Chocolatey...£1.98N/A

Sorry for picking out this post at random but LOADS of people are getting this wrong. It seems to be asked and answered repeatedly every few pages. See further down this post for a suggested sample shop. It couldn't be simpler!!!!

    I never said i wasn't coming back. ;)

I just said I was done for the day which I was as I was spending it with missus and bubba (plus my iphone battery died which gave me no choice but to stay away :rotfl:)

Thanks! I also just have one more question, please dont flame me!
Ive seen a post last night about johnsons baby bath comparing at 24p. Am i right in thinking 1 ambrosia pot and 2 x babybath will all compare to waitrose then? Yesterday the babybath was 1.33 and comparing against sainsburys to im a bit confused. Been researching my supermarket and it seems it will work with the 3 for 2 waitrose glitch now?

Again sorry if its already been discussed. I promise, I have looked!

I was properly gutted this went to 24p as I got loads at £1.22.
So I bought the same quantity again today comparing at 24p which means I have effectively paid 73p each for every bottle. I feel better about that :D

Careful of stocking up on kiplings. They do NOT have a long shelf life.

Thats OK, they don't ever sit on my shelf for long. ;)
I'm gutted the Angel Slices aren't included as I love them. I haven't had one since the bus stop free vending machine (the one in Glasgow was giving them out every 20 seconds and I was the only one there for about 20 minutes :rotfl:

Does anyone know if T have reduced the price of the union jack nappies yet? I got some for someone at £8 a box and they just wondered if they had been reduced anymore yet. If they have I might have a drive a but further and get some for them. Many Thanks :)

    Edit:

Just read back another few pages and found my answer. Cheers again  That will teach me for not reading first. :)

LOL, you almost set me off on a rant, then I saw your edit. :rotfl:
Well done, if only others were so adept at reading/searching

These are my shops from today, if it helps anyone, i did notice people saying that you buy ambrosia then 2,5,9 cereal...but i only got 4 and it compared...same with the iams, i only got 2....weird

    <snip>

    Hope not
Its 2,5 or 8. Please be careful what you type people!
    [/B]

The same happened to me earlier this week. Stuck to my guns and said I would not do anything dishonest like that, SV sent my apg away 'to be checked' and returned saying its ok to use and put it through. Ended up ok but it seems that quite a few SA's etc are getting a bit jumpy about apg usage - there must have been a huge amount of interest being generated for some strange reason :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

They have started to tick or circle ALL the numbers on my receipt when comparing ot with the APG voucher

The 120g Choc one works, used it 4 times now :D

Works for me but compares everything at 32p rather than 24p on a 1235am shop (I see RootedNomad confirmed this is because W put their prices up!)

MY SUGGESTED SHOP FOR A SUB £10 APG

Since so many people are getting quantities wrong/varieties wrong/complaining that their APG is too high. here is a very simple shop for you to do today. Newbies/lurkers of the thread take note this is the easiest I have ever made it for you:

    1 x Ambrosia Rice Pudding Chocolate (120g)£0.40 £0.32
    3 x Kellogg's Rice Krispies Squares Chewy Marshmallow ... £3.00 £0.96
    3 x Kellogg's Rice Krispies Squares Rocky Road (4x34g) £3.00 £0.96
    3 x Kellogg's Special K Milk Chocolate Chewy Delight (...£3.00 £0.96
2 x Alpen Coconut & Milk Chocolate Bars (5x29g) 3.96 £0.64 (substitute for any one of the 7 different comparable flavours if you are not a fan of coconut)
1 x ASDA Chosen by You Giant White Mice Bar (15g) £0.10 N/A
1 x ASDA Chosen by You Giant Rainbow Buttons Bar (15g) £0.09 N/A
    1 x Barratt Flumps Mallow Twists £0.10 N/A
Comparison total (compared products only) £13.36 £3.84
Less 10% the price in W would be £3.46 so thats an APG back of £9.90 which will scan easily enough on the tills as its under £10 and avoid the whole "999 barcodes are fake" discussions

This shop has 8 unique items, 12 cereals including one trigger. I did it *ahem* several times yesterday

    Morning all

From a womble dated today at 02.30

    <snip>
    2 x Walkers Classic Variety (22x25g) £5.00 £4.00
    <snip>

The walkers did not compare at full price, Shucks cos I had bought them too. Still a fab price though. HTH x

They worked for me on a 23:59 shop :D

So crisps worked at 23:59 and the rice pots price was higher at 00:35hrs. Looks like somone at APG HQ was working on a midnight update. Seems they missed a couple of things though :rotfl:
    Hi
Hope you don't mind, but was wondering if I could please make an important request for the very very helpful folk who post wombles? Think we need to get in the habit of including any discounts that appear on the bottom of the receipt too, as I am sure we are missing some more glitches because we are not always looking at the comparison price against the actual price paid. I think the whole multibuy thing is effed on msm - some of the best glitches are where the multibuy discount which comes off the bottom of the receipt is not included for the comparison

It would be even better if we all posted the APG comparison results in colour (black text indicates full price comparison, red price indicates multibuy discount comparison in either A or the comparing store)

THATS the easy way to identify multibuys not being picked up :D

    Hi few Q on vits
Has anyone compared adios against Waitrose...if yes could you tell me the trigger please.
    Thanks

Do a search for "adios" There are only 6 results (seven now that I've included it in this post) :D

I'll give you a hint, raad the one by calmspirit that shows this in the preview

    "confirmed adios max ! A v W shop at 9pm tonight"" ;)

Thanks Witch Hazel but I can't understand why they've compared at 55p instead 75p which is what they should compare at.

It's because they compare in pairs to half the price of the cheapest item in Ts; which is £1.09 so two prices 54p + 55p add up to £1.09.

This should work with Nestle Milkybar Giant Chocolate Buttons Pouch (126g) too but not the Aero as that's N/A on MSM. They should be bought in pairs, i.e. an even number in total across both the chocolates and biscuits that work.

The biscuits are 1.09 so half of 1.09 is 55p this is what they have compared against.
  • I'm losing the will to live and I have a headache!!!!

Done 3 shops today in 2 shops and thanks to the wonder of iphones and mobile internet saved myself on the crisps but not the fox's crunch - thanks to all posting what has stopped working.

Clued up on most of the glitches, got the counting sorted (glitches & comparable items), now need to do some more prep on my lists before I leave home because what I am buying doesn't match the apgs I have and I am still managing to either pay cash on top or fall short on my voucher which means chucking something else in !!!!!!ing up my profit.

Thanks to all the elite and newbies for posting wombles etc and working all these out.

Now should I go out again this aft or tidy the house or sleep - and if so what to get? poo, cereal, cleaning - my brain is fried!!!
The cleaning and scrubbing will wait till tomorrow, For children grow up, as I've learned to my sorrow.
So quiet down, cobwebs. Dust go to sleep. I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep.

Oh dear someone went over the £10 cap.

3 is the magic number here. If people pick up 3 different ice creams and 3 different pizzas then you only need to get two other cheap fillers or extra if you like. This will then come back with the return of £9.66. Wish I had more room in the freezer. :)

What happened to the garlic bread as well. :(
