  • no, it wasnt over £100 but it wasnt really that far off. Bloke was fine about it. I asked him first if it was ok to use a "few" and he said it was fine

    Excellent! :T

Think I've got a lurker at my local in Torquay, there were loads of Smirnoff this morning and now there are none. It's suspicious because the 70cl is £16odd and the 1ltr is £17 on offer, so if you didn't know about this you would buy the larger size. No sp gel or conditioner either. Hmmm....

Anyway, paying with my £29 and £26 vouchers was tough on the ol' ticker. The SA said he need a super, one arrived followed by a security guard. They all congregated at the end of the till, looking back at me. Lucky for me the tannoy asked them all to eff off to a 'afternoon huddle meeting' :D the SA said I had such a high amount because of the tresemme, tesco have it at £40, that why my APG is so high (no, I didn't understand either!) think I may have to use the higher voucher in another store, perhaps face the major trout in the new store that opened up....

Nice to meet a local :):)
I was in there too today around 3.30 and noticed all the trigger items were missing :eek:
I noticed the coke wasn't marked up at two for a fiver and as I'd not caught up since last night I didn't risk buying any.
So I got some eggs and milkshake and paid for them with real live money
Hope everyone is having a good day, hi to any newbies and hugs for any needing them.
I don't think I'm going to get the chance to catch up so hope I've not missed anything important.

Been tested and measured up for hearing aids today :(:( and will be getting them in about a months time......so any whistling on the thread will be me :D
And I'm still having to sit on several cushions ;):o:o :rotfl:
My son's toe is broken. they strapped it at the hospital and said its quite a nasty break as the whole of his foot is black.....right up to the ankle. He's going back to school tomorrow though...break or no break!!
My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.

do you take a list with you;) i take a list and stick to it.
is it worth you copying a list from on here that some one has already done?;)

    Thanks for the advice. :)

I had a list but left it lying beside the lappy so was going by memory - or so I thought:rotfl:

Hadnt planned on doing a coke shop - had planned on a listerine but they didnt have any of the ones I needed ( just a small A) Lots of spaces on the shelf.

Also the vits had been ransacked although I got what I wanted but hadnt realised that the garlic wasnt a goer anymore.

Too tired for another go tonight so will need to wait until after work tomorrow night and see what is working then. :T:T
Never put off til tomorrow what you can do today. (the glitch might be over by then!!)

Evening guys. I'm on a mega catch up due to having a migraine yesterday. I thought I'd grown out of them by the time I was 15 - 16 years old, but it seems I haven't. :( I've had 2 in the last few months.

Apologies if it has been posted already, but I've noticed some people asking about the spirits today. Just want to point out that the 3 for £30 offer does not appear on T's website anymore so has probably finished. 2 for £24 is still there though. I can't verify what's in store because I haven't been today.

    HTH someone :)

ETA Since catching up to this point, I've noticed more posts about this 'not working'. I pointed out on Monday that the offer was ending on Tues. Think this is another instance where reading the detail should've been adopted!! :-)

    Im back from Mr.A's :T
I have three vouchers on the go and re-cycling them everyday. Hubby and I go, I do two shops he takes one to a seperate checkout. Make sure the APGs are below £10, preferably below £9. Today we got an Ale shop, a wine and ale mix shop, and a babywipe shop. APG's should be about £8.50 each. Slowly building up a nice little stash and so far friendly staff and no troutings! :j I do vary what I get each time and make sure its not the same glitch as previously used on receipt.
  • OMG!!!!

    Now that's dedication!

    :o:D

I use spreadsheets a lot in work so they're kinda my only concession to geekdom. I was initially keeping it last month so I could show the OH just how much I'd wombled & saved and maybe show him the error of his ways.

This month it's all about the £100 cap and making damn sure I don't hit it again ..... after all, there's still 18 days left in the month ;) I don't do loads of shops each day but I try to hit a 2 per day average which given work, kids & OH moaning isn't too bad.

Oh and thank you for whoever first mentioned the new potatoes and the cooking instructions. They were absolutely scrummy and even the kids ate them. Considering where I live is famous for spuds, my own kids turn their noses up at them unless they're chipped (very rare occassions) or mashed.

What's the largest APG voucher you've used? I've got one worth £28 and thinking about doing a big shampoo shop to generate a £70-90 voucher to use towards a new phone.

About £47 but am thinking off going up a little more.
