When I signed on in 2009 and said I couldn't work full time because I had to attend hospital once a week (two hours there and back on a train), they first said I couldn't sign on and then said that I could because I was available 4 days in the week and saturday making the full 5 days. It was all very silly because I still was expected to apply for jobs that I couldn't actually do. (Before everyone moans, I have worked part-time since and don't claim any benefits. I no longer have blood tests every week either but that's neither here nor there.) But the OP needs to be careful as to what they say at the job centre.
  • Fibro is surely a reason not to work full time.

I don't know any medical profession who would advise full time employment.

that's not the issue though, JSA is based on agreeing to look and take full time work if offered.

Everyone is different with FMS though so while some can't work at all others like my friend can work full-time.

I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -
