RAC Car insurance renewal

I am with RAC, car insurance now coming up for renewal. Looked at comparison sites and cashback sites etc, and see cashback for RAC £70
However it states not for renewing policies.:(
If I do not renew, can I wait a few days and then go back as new customer through cashback site? Have other car to use.
Anyone in same predicament or advice appreciated
