Use Avast. It's free, protects 500m PCs, it works, and it does not hogg your PC resources.
When did you last use Norton ? These days it has a very small footprint.I think the surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us.0 -
You can get free anti-virus/ anti-spam/ anti-malware protection and a firewall on the internet. Avast is the best free protection software.
Alternatively you can download Microsoft Security essentials and use windows firewall.
A lot of paid Antivirus software like AVG offer free safe search and identity protection in their free version software.
Just make sure your software does not clash though. So if you download AVG free version for the identity protection, but use Avast for anti virus, make sure you disable any anti virus on AVG.
But if you must pay make sure you buy the package which contains software which will speed up your PC - as this software you can't get for free anywhere.0 -
:rotfl: McAfee isn't that good as well- I can tell you that from experience!ProPinball wrote: »Asking Norton to protect your PC is like asking McDonalds to look after your cow.
