Bicycle carriers for Citroen C4
Options
Any advice welcome.......staff for my disabled son have bought a bike carrier for his Citroen C4 but when they tried to fit it it wouldn't fit onto the bottom of the boot. Halfords said they wouldn't advise using that one and said that none of theirs was suitable either (so it wasn't just a sales pitch). anyone know of a bike carrier that is suitable for this vehicle (2008)? Needs to carry 3 bikes.
Many thanks to anyone who can help.

Is it a C4 or a C4 Picasso? The C4 I think has a glass tailgate without metal reinforcement which is the main problem. The situation is compounded if the car has higher spec/optional plastic spoilers. The man without a signature.0

It's got the plastic spoilers. Does that mean it's a no go for a rear bike rack? Perhaps I should investigate a roof one. Not sure how staff will feel about lifting bikes up and down off the roof of the car!'Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail. Not available for the three door according to this http://www.roofbox.co.uk/scripts/rbvehsel4_tab.php/car-specific-accessories/it_s_not_possible_to_fit_a_rear_door_fitting_bike_carrier_to_this_vehicle/Qx%40w%2C6M4%2CME%7D%40nkCu5P5zqBAFXhLN0SVq6%2CIPz4JqQaYfw%7B0%7D_RCu7Gf~WBVX4Xxpjzt0Th%7BWK~SJQn0

The best but most expensive option is a tow bar mounted rack. The tow bar will probably be £300 odd then the rack £150.0

+1 Get a towbar fitted. You probably need a lighting board also though.
Racks dont cost £150 though. You can get cheaper ones.
I bought one that takes 2 bikes. And takes less than 10 seconds to fit. £23 delivered.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
