    La Senza.

Depending on where you live. There are quite a few stores that didn't close.

But the ones that didn't close now seem to carry radically different stock (at least, the one near me does). Very garish, cheap looking rubbish, very few of the little nighty/basque things they used to do and - worst of all - no DD+ stuff. I'm pretty sure it's just the same stuff as in their American stores and it's very different to what the old UK shops used to sell. I used to go into a La Senza and be spoiled for choice, now if I venture in to the one near me, I barely last 10 seconds in there.

Funny I'd just seen La Senza in Braehead the other day and passed comment to my Mum that "I thought they went bust, excuse the pun!" - but I was always under the impression they were the middle ground between Anne Summers & M&S.

  • I always found Debnhams Red Herring selection really good, I have loads of T-shirt printed sets from them, but the last time I went in i couldn't find red herring underwear.
  • I went into a La Senza a few days ago and you're right it just looks like tat and there's nothing over a c cup.

Have you tried bravissimo? Quite (ok very) pricey but lovely sets up to a J cup.

So glad it's not just me...I was in the Trafford Centre last week and went in La Senza. It hurt my eyes and I came straight out. They've destroyed it and judging by other shoppers reactions lots of people think so

Ah, I see. I don't shop in there so thought it still looked the same when I walked past, sorry. :o

I second Debenhams, their own brand Gorgeous underwear is particularly good in the DD+ ranges, very pretty bras with matching knicks.

  • Another one for Asda. Find a store with a big clothes selection - surprisingly decent quality at great prices!
  • If you live in London, try Victoria's Secret?

Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to check out the stores, so i'm not sure of the pricing this side of the pond.

I was surprised at the prices of M&S underwear and how it was suitable for my age as I always thought it was more suitable for my Mum's age group. Some of the underwear is half the price of La Senza's :money: although the quality seems every bit as good. I ordered quite a few items and they have arrived and they look as good as they did in the pictures and they fit well too.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I now know where to go from now on.
  • Asda, believe it or not :)

Yes, I agree! I tend to struggle, as I'm a 36G, (which lots of places do not go up to) but have picked up a few lovely bra and knickers sets there recently.. last week I got a cream and red tartan bra (£4!!!) and a red leopard print one for £6!!! both with matching knickers for £2.50 I think!

I've a few older ones too, and they have worn and washed really well. They are comfy and the wires do not dig in. I like the t-shirt bras best, and they tend to do them in some really nice patterns and fabrics!
