edinburgh in august next year

just seen travelodge have rooms for £35 a night for 4 and 5 august next year, will this be when the tattoo and festival will be on? we do go at end of july but a bit quiet then as not much on, will it be more lively then

It generally starts around the 1st August so there should be lots on by then. Google Edinburgh Festival 2013.

Definitely a bargain! Enjoy your trip and keep checking the Fringe website nearer the time, there are loads of free shows.

The Fringe usually starts before the main EIF.

The Edinburgh International Festival (the one for arty types) starts on the 9th August running to the 1st September, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe (the one with the weird stuff) starts on the 2nd August and runs to the 26th August.

There WON'T be £19 rooms anytime in the whole of August

Yup - If you can get rooms that price now, take them - There is no way you will get anything similar nearer the time.
