Veterinary witholds test results

I have just disovered a veterinary I brought my cat too won't let me have the full set of results for the tests I paid for (169 pounds!).

Where do i stand legally?

    I'm not quite sure what you mean? What were the tests looking for and was your cat treated for anything as a result of the findings of the tests? Sometimes vets (and doctors too) won't give people a full printout of test data because people start Googling away and before you know it they have convinced themselves they are at deaths door.
    If for example the test results showed that a person had elevated Cortisol and someone were to google it, they would see that it is symptomatic of thyroid dysfunction and hyperglycemia when in reality, it could have just as easily been caused by the person being stressed during the blood test!
    I'm not saying that this is definately why your vet is witholding the results but there are numerous innocuous reasons why this might be so.
    I hope your cat is OK regardless though :)
