Concerned about recent eBay shoe purchase

Hi all,

I recently bought a pair of chunky soled trainers from eBay. As soon as they arrived, I tried them on to make sure they fitted but as soon as I went to walk a few steps, one of the trainers started making a really loud squeaking noises. It's definitely the trainer and not my floor. I contacted the seller straight away and still haven't received a response. At this point, I'd like a refund as I don't appreciate being down £10 and left with shoes that I can't wear. What would be the best way to proceed? And what should I do if the seller doesn't get back to me or refuses a refund?

Thanks in advance.

Is the seller a business or private seller?

  • check if they offer refund, contact them. if you don't hear from them then open a claim with ebay. Ebay will more than likely tell seller to accept the item but you will have to pay the cost of returning and they don't have to refund the return costs.

If they are chuncky and heavy they may cost you quite a bit to send back
