Ebay - how long before listing searchable ?

Hi all - how long do you normally have to wait before a listing is searchable in Ebay
I've sold a few things in the past and was able to search for them within 15 mins to 2 hours.
But, I listed a bag yesterday lunchtime and its still not showing up in the search - it does have 3 photos on it - would this make a difference ?
I'm losing valuable auction time here !
Cheers for anny info

it should not take that long IMO
why don't you ask ebay about it?0 -
some items can take 12 hours or more, sometimes up to a day if its a designer or brand name item that has to go through VERO checks first.
Also if you have made any revisions soon after listing the item it will go back in the queue.
does it show if you search on the item number...0 -
Thanks - I have sent Ebay an email but they haven't replied.
Yes I can search on the item number (160102560947), but it doesn't show if I do a normal search.
It is a designer bag (and I've said designer in the title) so maybe thats why it's taking longer ?

it says you listed it today, not yesterday..
if its only listed today, a designer branded item could take a day to show up in search....0 -
Hi Pennylane99 - I did list the item yesterday lunchtime, but when I searched for it today and realised it wasn't showing I thought I'd done something wrong - so I ended that item and re-listed it taking one of the photos off in case that was the problem.
My new camera takes v big photos so the file was big and took a long time to upload - could this be the problem ?
Also the re-listed item should be searchable by now ? It's been since lunchtime today?

no, I think the main problem is that its a designer branded item...they take longer before showing up on searches as Ebay makes VERO checks...could take up to 24hrs or more.0 -
Thanks Pennylane99 - looks like I removed one of my photos for no reason ...doh!
If I add it back on will this elay the listing even more ?0 -
