Late father may have been paid too much income related benefit?

Because I hadn't seen my Father for nearly 18 years it is impossible for me to know weather he declared his money or not, I just hope he did or perhaps there won't be anything left, especially after the solicitor has finished with it.:(0

They will (on the facts presented) likely require some repayment.
It is not impossible that this will be incorrectly calculated, and if you want to reduce it, you may need to get into the detailed capital calculations.
But first step if you're not willing to go through all the figures in detail at this stage is to wait for the DWP to come up with a number for the overpayment.0
