Hi my husband just got a Huawei Ascend G300 (his first smartphone) and wonders if he can use it as an MPE and put his music on it. He wants to know if the music on his pc (windows vista) in WMA music files can be converted to MP3 format so he can download onto his phone. The music files seem to go onto the phone but then wont play as appear to be the wrong format. Can anyone assist please?

Use a programme like;

You can also use Real media converter if you want to convert video media to audio media;

Thanks for posting so quickly.
I have downloaded the converter but when I drag a music file over it does not allow me to. Not sure what I am doing wrong. Should you be able just to drag the file over to the converter?

Thanks but the thread does not seem to assist me with getting the music files into the downloaded converter.

You have to press the "+" button on the right,then select an output folder,say Desktop,then press convert.Once it's done drag over to the phone folder.0 -
What is stopping your husband from downloading a free media player from the Play store that can handle more than the standard default installed crap?
I personally use PowerAMP for audio files and MX Player for video files.
Both are available as free or paid for versions, and between them will manage ANY type of media file if your hardware is up to it.Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car
Oversteer is when you hit a wall with the back of your car
Horsepower is how fast your car hits the wall
Torque is how far your car sends the wall across the field once you've hit it0 -
Thanks for your tips re the converter Spike but we still had no joy.
Quiet spark - will try your suggestion.
Many thanks
