    Enquire here:

    http://www.landregisteronline.gov.uk/

From the Land Registry. It will cost you £2.

    Click on "property enquiry"

Ok then, how about asking the neighbours?
  • Or what about putting a note through the door.

Although the Land Registry is the best and quickest way as mentioned by mrcow.

You could always ask the council, somebody must be paying council tax for it

sorry to jump in............i just wondered if you do pay £2 and go via land registry to find out who owns it, does your name get back to the owners??? i'm guessing not but just wondered if some record is kept on who is enquiring about your house.

I ask as i want to be nosy about a house but don't want to be found out!

It doesn't say anything about that on the site. I've known people to use this facility and they've never mentioned it, but I've never used it myself.

An idea would be to do a search first on your own property and see if they contact you......
