Just over 4 months seems quite young to be having her first season, all the Google results I've seen suggest betwene 6-10 months. It may be worth speaking to your vet and seeing if it needs to be checked out (phone first because they may want you to take the last appointment of the day and/or come in via a side entrance to avoid male dogs in the waiting room incase it is her season)
I would say that 3 months from the first symptoms would be fine, it doesn't have to be precisely 3 months to the day, just far away enough from the first season for her womb to have settled down, and far enough before the next one. Technically, a !!!!! can be spayed at most times, there's just an increased risk nearer to seasons because of the increased blood flow (and interupting the hormone cycle can sometimes cause issues with hormone-related behaviour)

Our old dog came into season at 4 months, tied in with her mothers season, but dont know if that was just coincidence or some of her mothers hormones in her
