I did mine in the washing machine twice. duchesse satin and tulle with beads on. out of the beads 3 came off in total. I was quite impressed i just hung it up to dry and it didn't even need an iron. Got an acid free box and tissue paper off ebay . My dress did get a tear on the day but i only paid £50 for it brand new rrp was over a grand (plus £360 alterations). so i felt it was worth a go.
  • I ended up machine washing mine bought some stain remover for fake tan, it's come out really well, only a lil dirty underneath where it hit the floor but I think that is to be expected.
  • Hi, I have just had my daughter's wedding dress cleaned after putting it off for too long, and I am thoroughly pleased with the job. I used Atlantic Bridal, weddingdresscleaners.net, based in Southampton and they came to collect from me. It is an expensive Ian Stuart dress, covered with beads not to mention the ornate flowers on it. Both the dress and the veil look wonderful now and are packed so beautifully and obviously with such care I'm reluctant to take them out of their new home! This company could not have been more helpful... I am so pleased I found them.
