Hiya it's my 40th birthday in Feb and was thinking of going to Los Americas in Tenerife with friends as it looks a lively resort, is it still lively in Feb, is the weather half decent ?
Also any other ideas where it might be warm with a good atmosphere ?

tenerife is a 24/7 lively resort - weekends mean nothing, came back last week had a great time. Will be warm in Feb, have been there about 15 times over 20 odd yrs, longest stay was 4 months.
Other alternative in Feb is Egypt which is also great x
have funMama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.0 -
Tenerife is always lively
February isn't a peak time either, so you should be able to grab a good deal!
Anywhere on the Balearic Islands (off Spain) are a safe bet for a lively party atmosphere, however the clubs in this area are actually pretty quiet until June.
You should be able to get price with Directline Holidays, as they are always doing good offers for trips to Spain!
One other alternative would be to visit Barcelona, amazing for clubbing whenever you visit, however the cost will be a bit higher0 -
warm weather and sea temp high too, went to gran canaria in jan, lush bit of sun0

And in the middle of Februray you can have all the children on half term as well, just a thought if you want to avoid them..0

We have been a few times in late January but we stopped going because we just weren't getting the weather. We went a couple of times in November instead and it was much warmer. Then last time we did a January trip we did Egypt instead.
February prices tend to be a bit higher because of the English school holidays, tends to push hotel prices up. Shop around and see what you can find. I can highly recommend Sharm el Sheikh for better weather, however probably more hotel based as it tends to be more AI there.0 -
