    Lucky starting next week:)

I have my youngest doing her settling into nursery sessions over the next two weeks, then I can get started. Well I have been slowly working my way through my reading list :)

  • I will be giving freshers a miss. Not much attraction given I've been allowed in pubs for a decade now and I'm tee total lol.

I think we drink once in a blue moon lol... Only had a glass of wine each with our meal for our 10yr wedding anniversary :o

Doubt the husband would be happy being sat in with the monsters while I was out galavanting either haha.

  • Very Larry Crowne of you!

Id imagine English students would be very poetic while drunk.
  • I feel ancient now, i'm 56 and starting a BSc soon. Starting to feel rather nervous.
  • The worst part is waiting! After a month you will feel like you were always there lol x

I think thr age difference will be an adjustment for me, in class with kids who haven't finished puberty! Lol

I'd try to adjust your attitude towards your fellow students to be honest, they'll all be adults, all doing the same work as you and if you're doing nursing they'll be taking on all the same important responsibilities when you go on placement.
  • I could skulk away and say yes I will be changing my views, but I happen to think that anyone under 20 shouldn't be on the course unless they can demonstrate life experience.

Will i let this show in my interaction - no because my opinions get left at home just as you would do in your workplace.

    Each to their own

What a shame you feel that way, I know lots of wonderful nurses who started their training at 18 or 19.

Maybe actually interacting with your fellow students will change your low opinion of them. I hope so.

I'm 31, single Mum to a 2 year old and I start my MA on 25th at Nottingham Uni...oh, and I managed to get myself disabled this year...I have no idea how this is going to pan out! I've already done part of degree, a foundation course and a full degree, most of it involved being drunk though. I'm pretty sure that won't be happening this time!
