Replacing kitchen doors - hinge height

We are expecting a delivery of high gloss cream Cooke and Lewis door, cab and draw fronts to turn up soon.

Is it ok to drill new holes in the carcass if the pre drilled hinge seating in the doors doesn't line up with our already attached hinges? Is this common and easy to rectify?

Seemed like a waste to pay for new carcasses when these are solid and the layout and current kitchen is only a few years old.

Well, you are not going to get the screws in unless you do drill pilot holes in the carcasses.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.
