Im looking at buying Tesco dental insurance, and going to be paying for a year, i rang them up and they said i can cancel for next year if i want etc.

But what i forgot to ask is; Would u still be able to cancel if you no longer want it after the year (which i would of paid for) even if you have claimed on it?

Im not 100% sure how all this works, would anyone be able to shed some light on it for me? Please.

Im unsure on how Insurance policies work and that

Ok Thanks :)! Do you know if there is a set time limit to let them know if u want to cancel? I have looked on their T&C but it doesnt say, is it like 14 days generally?

    It is 14 days.

You do need to read up the policy ts + cs, and be sure you are happy with the policy before the cooling off period ends - it will also explain how you can cancel (and what costs - if any - you incur by cancelling)

    Thanks for that again.

Ive look on their thing (https://members.dental.tescobank.com/tscdentweb/pdf/apr-2012-tdi-handbook.pdf) It doesnt really say about cancellation costs and time etc. o_O

Not really - you haven't looked very hard!

There is a contents page (1)

This says cancellation is covered on page 18.

I have, But it doesnt state if you claim on the policy within the year you can cancel it for the next year (if you do not wish to go on with it for another year).

    It doesn't need to!

It's an annual policy which you can renew if you want to, and at each renewal you get a new cooling off period.

(If you aren't going to claim it's not much point taking it out is there?)

And if i do not wish to renew? Can i stop it before they take the money out? And there is a high chance i will claim from it.

It may be that existing teeth aren't covered :)
