I have done a few sales over the weekend and now the wrapping and posting! Some paid instantly, wrapped and off...some paid today, got them ready to go and now waiting for cheques for others So over the weekend there were piles everywehre! Is there a better method ?
The actual posting is easy, I go everyday. And whilst I am asking, can anyone tell me how to change the ebay sign to say I have posted the item, please.

I sell allsorts of "stuff" I pick up on my travels, I know it is going to sell (or I wouldn't have bought it) and tend to do the following.
Photograph everything .... Upload pics to PC, check and edit pics, upload to net.
Have a 500ml Budweiser.
Takes notes on all goods for sale, taking info from each item.
Have a 500ml Budweiser.
Wrap all goods, put on a blank label, and a sender label.
Have a 500ml Budweiser.
Weigh each item, take a note of postal charges with notes.
Have a 500ml Budweiser.
List between 8-00pm and 10-00pm on a Sunday night.

Or
Click on the 'record' number or the greyed out parcel icon of the sold item in your Selling Manager, then tick the 'Dispatched on' box near the bottom of the grey box (Sale Status & Notes) in the Sales Record, then click save.0 -
Nothing is working!!!!
The arrow thingy doesnt drop down (I have been trying for days!), thought I must have been doing ital wrong! Same with the greyed out parcel .... nothing!

Thats strange. I usually go to items sold screen on myebay and you can click on the tabs saying "awaiting payment", "awaiting postage", "awaiting feedback" etc...
I then click on the action tab arrow and can select stuff like "view payment status", "mark sent", "leave feedback", "mark paid" etc... Of course, not all of them are avaliable depending on what is already been selected.
Have a look and see what icons are already showing next to the transaction? have you already clicked on "mark sent" previously.
I usually have an upload session once a week and when i sell stuff i tend to wrap it up and post it on a daily basis. At the moment im only selling a few items a week so its not too bad, but in the past ive listed 60 items at a time, all ending on the same day and thats been mental. Luckily I got a production line set up with the missus in that id print of the name/address & invoice and she`d jiffy bag the items up and stick the right label on them etc...0 -
I find it best to package the goods up the day I advertise them and just mark on the outside what they are and how much postage is for UK.
When I receive payment after the auction i simply print out a delivery note etc and place it in a window envelope and sellotape this to the front of the parcel and post it the same / next day.0
