Dentist cancellation fee

Just wondering.... I made a dentist appointment for a Monday morning, my son took ill over the weekend and I had to cancel it, which I did first thing on the Monday (the surgery is shut over the weekend and they have no answer phone). I was then told I'd be subject to a £10 cancellation fee as I hadn't given the required…

I preferred it when the dentist could charge for a missed appointment (as my dentist's charges weren't extortionate). Now in our practice if you miss 2 appointments you're off the books. I've been lucky (and careful) not to miss any but my partner got taken off the books and my mum had to appeal to the dentists to be allowed to stay on the books (it wasn't her fault - just a misunderstanding).

A waist is a terrible thing to mind.
