How to make metal draw runners move freely?

Hi all, I have a rather nice sold wood wardrobe which has two draws with metal runners. Once upon a time these runners had ballbearings in which are long gone. As such it is stiff to pull the draws open and push close. I put some GT85 (similar to WD40) on them and this made them move much more easily. Can anyone suggust a grease type thing to use which will last long on these runners or something else.

I use candle wax since seeing the tip on superscrimpers. It works well, just rub a candle along the runners.

I will give it a go. I have used candle and bees wax on wooden runners but never metal ones. Worth a shot though.

Yup candlewax or silicone spray (not that awful WD40 stuff which barely lasts a month )

I know the GT85 would last long. I have at home GT85, TSW and WD40. Not sure any of them would be any good although WD40 is the only water dispersing one.

To replace them is quite simple. I used SDSlondon for my new runners on 3 chests of drawers (replaced the cheap & nasty plastic runners)
