Faulty Cooker

So, we bought a range cooker in Jan sales earlier in the year but have only been using it for the last couple of weeks as we've recently finished the kitchen.
So, now we're using it the (electric) oven is not coming up to temperature. Have cooked a few things that have taken much longer than they should so bought a cheap over thermometer online and it seems to be 30-40 degrees cooler than it says. Thermostat seems to think it's hot enough so it may just be that that's dodgy.
Question is, what are our rights given that we bought it in Jan? Am hoping that, as it seems to be faulty, we are able to get it fixed/replaced but not sure whether we go to manufacturer or supplier. Any guidance on who to ask and what to say would be gratefully received.

Your legal contract is with the supplier/retailer, however lots of manufacturers of appliances offer a years guarantee - so I suggest you get your paperwork out and check.
Once you have your paperwork out and post what it says, then posters on here can give you more help.I'm not cynical I'm realistic
