I've just done some research of my own and found this decent website:

    http://www.brittany-france.com/

    And this one:

    www.frenchtree.com

We've also found that for us, it's actually cheaper to fly and hire a car using our Tesco (Avis) vouchers than getting the ferry. Ryanair, here we come. :)

    I think you mean https://www.frenchentree.com !

    Update:
    Thanks to all for suggestions.

Have now found a holiday – hooray.

First two weeks of summer hols - a gites in Normandy with speed ferry crossing Portsmouth-Caen & return & holiday insurance for about £1000 (for 2 adults).
Very pleased with location and price.
Checked out lots of options and this seems like a good one – even though Brittany Ferries are renowned for being expensive this package deal is not. They also offer a 'find it cheaper within 28 days and we refund the difference' type of condition.

Worth a look if you are still trying to find something.
