Athena ANPR - help please

Options
Hi all,

I've just received a "Civil Parking Charge Notice" from Athena ANPR for overstaying in Lidl Carpark in Croydon.

I am certainly inclined to ignore it given all I have been reading here but as many of the threads refer wording on the letters which is different to the wording on mine I was wondering:

1- Does the fact that it is a "Civil Parking Charge Notice" with no mention anywhere on the letter as a fine mean they have changed their wording so this is enforceable?

2 - Does the fact they are members of the "British Parking Association" give them any right to pursue us?

3 - Has anyone here ignored letters from Athena ANPR specifically before now, and what was the outcome? Is there any chance at all of them being able to take legal action against me?

Thank you all in advance

What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

    1. No
    2. No
    3. Yes - plenty and the outcome was they had more money to spend on shoes / beer / wine / meals out ( delete as appropriate ).

Just ignore them and they'll go away.

When dealing with "tickets" from private parking companies (PPCs) our advice is to ignore them. :D

Tick off the threatening letters here.

Watchdog clip with expert Solicitor's opinion here.

    Barrister's opinion here.

The only difference would be if you or a family member are not the registered keeper (say if it's a company or hire/lease car). Also we may change our advice for any new fake PCNs issued from October because there's going to be a way of costing the PPCs a lot of money but at no risk to the motorist.

But that amusement will be only for new fake PCNs from October - coming to a car park near you!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    Thank you for your advice!

I know I've posted on CAG also, I wasn't expecting answers so quickly so wanted to post in more than one relevant forum - thank you for your help!
