    Theses point apply to all accounts even if there is no direct debit in place, and what you quoted doesn't even mention the direct debit at all.

    Whether the direct debit is reduced by refunds or other payments made to the account is a completely different issue

    I've just logged in online and my "official statement" states the following on the first page:
    Your minimum payment of £Xx.xx will be collected from your nominated bank by Direct Debit on or after xx/xx/xx.
    Please remember: your regular Direct Debit payment will always be taken, regardless of any additional payments you choose to make.

    So - I am not wrong.
    We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.
