Sticking 2 tiles on plasterboard

My sons both decorated tiles at a workshop in the summer holidays. The tiles have just come through the post (had to leave them to be fired) and I need to know how to attach them to the wall!

They are about 6 x 6 inches and I'm worried they might be too heavy for ordinary superglue.

Please can someone recommend something more suitable?

Thank you.

  • Thought about "No-Nails" glue, you can get this at any diy store.

if you want to permently stick them to the wall then tile grout is the best option...a small tub from a diy store will be more than enough...

If you want them hung so they can be moved ect then you could always look to get them mounted in something like a picture frame from a framing studio but this would probably be a more expensive option

You could also look at mounting them on someting like a piece of cork board to make coasters?

Superglue, NMN and grout! Nobody give up the day job. Anyone else going to fetch up and suggest other alternatives such as bluetac or perhaps to knock a nail through them. Failing that see post 3.

You shouldn't be. Post number 3 is the correct answer.

OK, I'll step up. You lick the back of the tiles - or if it is a bit much to do in one go, you find a friendly cow to lick the backs for you. And then you stick them on the wall.

Are you sure you want to permanently affix them to the wall? What if you move, will you be happy to leave them behind? It's likely they'd be damaged if you tried to remove them after fixing them to the wall.

What about using plate hangers / stands - they can then be displayed on a counter top or on a wall?
