Hi everyone
i received yesterday a bill from Eephant car insurance (who my car insurance is with for 5 years)for £176.00 out of the blue.I recntly renewed my wifes car insurance with Bell Insurance and Elephant said they are a sister company and have matched details up and there is discrepancies on my policy not showing a claim of my wifes for a accident this year and a speeding fine of my wife back in 2009!! and the difference in insurance is £176.00.Now personally i knew would have to notify my insurance with fines etc(thoughout my cover) but my wifes! naive maybe? so going back through confused .com website where i do all my quotes, there is a part where you input your convictions and claims then you add on other drivers but it seems nowhere can you input the other drivers details of claims which is possibly why ive neglected to do so.Does this seem out of order this bill? and is this a fault with confused.com site or is it me not using it correctly?
any help would be great as i really cannot afford this
many thanks

From memory Confused.com do ask about accidents and convictions for named drivers.0

You are stuck with either paying up or them cancelling the policy.
You could see if it will be cost effective to cancel yourself and go elsewhere, though check with them exactly how much they will charge you in cancellation fees before making a decision.0 -
As Above.
If you go back into your confused quote and edit or input on drivers page, add another driver and edit, at bottom of that page after putting in details, there is claims and convictions part just above ok button.
Tick correct parts and complete details.
This will give you correct up to date quote's on completion so you can decide to stay or move to another insurer. The world is not ruined by the wickedness of the wicked, but by the weakness of the good. Napoleon0 -
It must ask because when i did some quotes i put my mum and sister who have both made claims and it made the quote cheaper.
If you cancel and move they will still want the back payment. And may withhold your no claims until its paid.
You dont want them cancelling the policy though. You may need to declare that forever. And £176 extra maybe peanuts.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
