Can't you just put it in the drive tray? There's usually a recess to allow for smaller discs."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

If you have a slot-in drive, just don't.
The user manual should tell you that 8cm disks can't be used with your drive.0 -
Exactly Cricri! I didn't know this! Is there any way I can access 8cm discs???0

Well, if I was in your shoes, I'd put the 8cm in my tray drive on the destop PC, copy the files to a 12cm media (maybe the data from your 8cm DVD fits on a 12cm CD?) and use that one instead.
But by all means, do NOT put 8cm (or business card format) media in your slot in drive. I actually don't know how bad it can be as I never did try0 -
Cricri's right I was thinking of a different type of drive. I don't think there's any way around a slot in drive."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"
