Plastic or wooden shed?

I really need to get a small shed for my back yard, need somewhere to store plant pots, garden furniture, a bike, step ladder etc. I have no idea whether to get a plastic shed or a wooden one...it doesn't matter what it looks like, I just want whichever is the best value for money.

Can anyone offer any advice please?

  • my only experience of plastic sheds is my mums
it came in a million bits (the frame)
it was put up for her by the company
it had a sliding door, and no matter what she did it squeaked and got stuck numerous times
it wasnt cheap and took no abuse (no children kicking balls etc)
but the side cracked and developed a hole quite quickly

our medium priced wood shed bought a year previously, took every form of abuse going, football in the garden, bikes being dumped in it etc and is still going strong (only had to re felt the roof)

    i would go wood
