Hi
This is my first proper post on here just wondering if any one could help us. Basically we have been renting from my dad for 3 years and are going to be moving away to a different area due to my husbands job. We are living with family now so we can save money for a deposit. When we were renting we were paying 625 a month anmd we were never behind on it at all.
Our problem is that we got into really bad money problems about 2 years ago and when I got pregnant last year I Got in touch with cccs to do a DMP which has helped us to start getting somewhere(it is £20,000)
Because of thhese problems our credit rating is really bad and while looking at houses to rent the estate agents do credit checks.Does any one know how likely it will be for us to get a house or do you think itll be very unlikely.
Sorry to go on.
Thanks for your help.

Hi Lisa,
I aam in much the same situation as you - bad credit rating and going into rented. I was really worried about it but found a LOVELY letting agent who is independant and i explained from the outset that we may come up with a bad credit rating - he was very relaxed and said that he was sure it woudl be fine. My father offered to go Guarantor if it was bad and the agent said this would be fine.
actually it all came back fine and didnt need a guarantor. It depends what the agent checks and how deeply but if you are honest and upfront i am poistive you will be fine!0
