We currently recieve some child tax credits and working tax credits. Over the years we have been looking to move closer to family and its hit the point where were considering moving in with my brother in law - who is buying his own home.
Will our tax credits be affected as his income is quite high.

The easy answer is no as you will still be a household for benefit purposes and your brother-in-law will not impact this

Potentially but don't forget entitlement to tax credits is based on your previous year income so it will not go down immediately
