I'm delighted to have been able to take my little one to see it, she can say "London 2012 I was there when history was made", I dont think she quite apppreciates what she's experienced, but when she older she will
Think the legacy will be greater pride in our country and greater understanding of the disabled.
I wonder whether the rest of the world bought into the Paralympics in the same was the UK did0

I heard a rumour that USA is condensing the whole of the paralympics opening, sport and closing into a 4h package next week sometime. No wonder USA does so badly in it, and it says a lot about their attitudes if it's true!0

It is true. I think it's NBC that are doing this. I remember Claire Balding saying this and commenting how lots of the international tv stations areas were now empty compared to the Olympics at the start of the Paralymics0

Just watching this atm. All I can say is !!!!!!!!!!!! what on earth is going on? What has it got to do with sport, disability, uk, London????? It's like a really bad version of scrap heap challenge....Its dark, dismal, moody, and frankly embarrassing.

Well I think the steampunk creatures are great fun and I was enjoyong working out what they were and what vehicle they had started out as (combine harvester under the grasshopper, Alvis Stalwart as the dragonfly). Connection to the Paralympics - well, Dave Anthony would have fitted in amongst them...
Too much Coldplay though, I was thinking 2 or 3 songs then a new act, the ParaOrchestra should have had a slot to themselves.I need to think of something new here...0

Quote of the night from one of the commentators:
'And truly a special day for these 120 hand picked children as they fasten 600 hub caps brought from various scrap yards around the country to the side of the giant fish'
 Hilarious!:rotfl:
