And of course, then equipped with knowledge from the forum, you can call up the call centre to demand your rights only to have the joy of a scripted answer telling you that you are imagining things.0 -
Why don't you phone them and ask? This isn't the Elephant.co.uk support forums, there really are some lazy folk on here.
(link removed as I'm a noob)
If you are old and responsible enough to insure and drive a car, you are old and responsible enough to make a phonecall to your insurance provider. Why expect others to do it on your behalf? It's even freefone
Wow someone is touchy. I find it better to ask people who may have been in a similar situation and are actually helpful than someone who is probably reading from a script.
Thank you to all the helpful people. And actually thank you MattLFC because I do need to call Elephant about the policy I bought now anyway, so at least I don't need to google for the number.
I got a loan off my bank to avoid the ridiculous insurance charges in the end. Thanks again everyone.

Nancy, is this a stupid question but have you shopped around for cheaper insurance by phone. Insurance co.s can be flexible and if you were to phone them direct they may come up with a solution. Sorry if this is irrelevant or not helpful.0
