I'm assuming there is only you and your partner to feed, if that is the case £180.00 per month is too much and can and should be reduced. I have a wife and two kids under three and only spend between £220-£250 per month and believe me we eat well and shop in tesco or sainsburys.

    I wish you well

I agree - I send £200 on a monthly shop in Asda - 2 adults, 1 "always starving" 7 year old and a baby - this includes baby formula, baby food, nappies for a month, baby wipes etc etc and we always eat lovely, fresh, homecooked meals and fresh fruit. Have a look at the Old Style Board for ideas. I know I could still cut back even more !!!!

Also, we spend at the most £15 per month on our 2 PAYG mobiles - get free minutes and texts too and the sim cards were free thanks to Martin's Newsletter. If we can't afford to top our cards up then we just dont. There is thread somewhere thats gives details of free sim cards.

I have halfed our Sky package and done it again so now just pay £12 per month and before I came on this site I didn't think any of this could be done.
