Well if they accept paypal and its correctly invoiced as goods you have 45 days to file a dispute and to send it back.

  • They just cut the key from what I can see you still need to take it and get transponder programmed to the car? I got a spare key cut for £4 in town just for locks as we only had 1 key so we'd at least be able to get into car if it was lost.

The transponder programming is the pricey part.

You have the option of with or without transponder when you pick the key
  • I really need to save this and just cut/paste when the questions come up :)
Go to your nearest loacal 2nd hand dealer, not a main dealer with used cars, but a good old independant. Ask them where they get new keys done, as a rule, they hate spending money, and always know the best place to get keys done, scratches repaired etc.
I was pointed to a local garage that had a keycutting machine and all teh proper kit for programming - replaced teh missing key, coded it as a new key and removed the missing key from teh 'Allowed' list in the ECU - £60
Vauxhall wanted £120 just to cut and clone teh existing key, £180 if I wanted it added as a new key and the ECU tidied up.

And the dealers are nearly always happy to share info on these places - they get the recognition for sending more business their way.
