Can't see it working from the point of view of your unique selling point.
Everyone and his dog, and his dogs dog is offering hosting, there is very little money in it for the small guy.
Most businesses want solid service and whilst they check the prices and pricing structures, they are willing to pay for a good service, quick problem solving and stable hosting.
A business does not want tying in to long term hosting deals.0 -
I agree with all that's been said above.
The model I see the hosting company's use now is to offer a very low cost option for initial sign up. I paid something silly like £5 for a whole year for a very good package a few years ago.
The host was very good and had exactly what I needed - so I kept with them and now pay around £5 a month, which is still a very good deal for what I get.
Get them in cheap, show them how good you are, increase the cost - in a nutshell.
Changing hosts can be a nightmare, use that to your advantage.I was a DFW, now I'm a MFW :T0
