new to ebay ....help

hi to all
can anyone please tell me how to get rid of something in my basket on ebay as i have decided not to buy the iteam now there isnt anywere i can click that says empty basket

    it does not say anywere remove or anything else that might empty basket

    yes the iteam is in the basket but does not sat anywere remove ...i phoned the seller yesterday and he was ok with me not buying but asked me to click were it says ebay will give him back the commission but i have never bought anything from ebay before so have no idea were to click

    If it is in your basked only then you haven't bought it, if seller has it showing as sold and has paid fees then you have not just added it to your basket and have in fact confirmed that you wish to buy it.

    I didn't say 'is the item in the basket' I said are you in the basket - meaning have you gone to the basket area? IE, did you click the BASKET icon at the top right of the page and go to the basket (not the item page).

    Anyway if the seller is asking you to cancel, then you have 'contracted to buy' and should either pay or accept his cancellation request.
