That just *has* to be the understatement of a lifetime. Wonderful does not even *begin* to describe the results this has had on the stubborn little bas%^$ds I've had to undo over the years..0 -

Nope, a release spray called "Plus Gas". It's like divine intervention in a can!Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?

My apologies - I've edited my post and added some quotation marks so it reads "Plus Gas".
I've never understood why the manufacturer never marketed the product more assertively. Most people are aware of WD40 but "Plus Gas" remains a secret known only to its devotees.....
.....until now !0 -

WD40 is too often used by people as a releasing fluid. It's next to useless compared to Plus Gas and is mainly a water dispersant (hence the name WD40..it was the 40th formulation they tried).
Plus Gas is also *much* cheaper in a tin:-

Education as well as money saving..what's happening to this place?0 -

Ultimately, it's "Horses for courses". WD40 is certainly good for water displacement and I always carry a small can in the glove box.0 -

i learnt my maintainace skills by having a go.. it was already broken couldnt make it any worse.. started off by doing my own oil changes moving up over the last 7/8 years of passing my test to actually doing a timing belt give it a go OP. just take your time. sign up to owners clubs as they often have guides from doing oil change to full on engine changes..
my tool kit has been built up over the years by buying stuff i needed for the job.
Even if its took me all weekend to do a couple of jobs on the car it still saves me a small fortune over the garage costs..
i got my manual for my xsara before i sold it for free ( member on cxoc gave me a link to download it lol)Sealed pot challenger # 10
