Hi
I'm going into my third year of university this year and wanted to apply for a credit card to improve my credit rating. I am finding that all companies seem to want employer details etc but as I am not working is there a low rate card I can apply for?

Try the bank you have a student account with, they often have a student credit card. Other than that wait for a 'pre approved' credit card offer via online banking, post etc. By my third year of uni I was getting one of these in the post at least monthly!0

Try with your bank. Mine gave me one with a stupidly high credit limit because of my history with them.0
