What to do with old PC components

As I am upgrading my PC I would like to know if there is any way I can sell/recycle my old components (motherboard, processor, case etc) as it seems a waste to just throw it. Is there a company that will make use of this for perhaps third world country's ?

Freecycle it or theres computers for africa, where abouts do you live as there mght be 1 thats closer, maybe have a look on google for 1. Whether cfa would pick up the 1 pc i dont know so your best bet is for a charity closer to you. Check the map bottom right of that link as ther emight be details of a charity near you.

On eBay, do a bit of research and see if it's more profitable to sell items separately or sell as a motherboard combo ie motherboard,CPU and ram together. Normally don't bother selling the PC case as the delivery costs don't make it worth while.

I give mine to charity shops apart from the hard drive.
I either use the hard drive again or destroy it.
