I have some heavy curtains to list and not having any real ebay selling experience, could someone advise me about the best way to send them and how to work out a fair delivery charge.
Looking at other peoples sales postage appears expensive.
Do I box them or wrap them?
Any help will be much appreciated.

Hi, I have sent curtains via parcel post, if they are not too bulky I pack them in "rubble" sacks from Poundland. Sometimes I use two sacks and join them in the middle and make very sure I have taped them securely. I have also boxed particularly heavy curtains, out of ease really!0

Would it be acceptable to put a postage price a guess one because I don't know how to judge the weight, and then refund any excess postage charged?
I would take any extra postage if needed 'on the chin'
One day hopefully I won't be a newbie:o0 -

you could use one of the courier services advertised on Ebay
Payperdrop are good....£5.99 for next working day delivery up to 31kg

I recommend these also, I use them frequently and never let me down. I'd wrap in bubble wrap and secure with bin liners, tape, label and courier for £5.99!!!0 -
Curtains can be quite heavy, so check to be sure you are putting a realistic postage cost. You can weigh them easily using bath room scales - weigh yourself first, then again carrying the curtains and do a little maths!0

I haven't had a pair of bathroom scales for about thirty years!
I have a few pairs of curtains to sell .......off I go to the cheapest source.
